Our RAIN Irrigation System applies the water at a rate that allows the soil to absorb it efficiently. This means you can use up to 50% less water to achieve an up to 20% yield increase. RAIN works with your existing pivot systems to achieve target soil moisture uniformly. The key to this is understanding soil infiltration capacity.
Water application exceeding this soil infiltration curve will cause inconsistent soil moisture in the field.
The orange area represents the water that is being wasted by being redistributed to low spots because the soil has become oversaturated.
These two lower curves represent the Rain Sprinkler System. With the leading sprinkler applying more water than the following one to stay under the infiltration curve.
The key to improving soil infiltration is increasing the diameter wetted by your irrigation. RAIN’s unique arms are designed to do exactly this, creating an even distribution over a larger area, improving infiltration and reducing plant stress and water pooling.
